BLOG, HEALTH

The Punk Rock Mommy. She died today. I am completely lost for words. I want to wrap my arms around an entire family of people that I have never met. But I can’t. Suddenly the world of blogging seems entirely helpless. I am so sorry. I wish there was something I could do.

Her extraordinary legacy lives on. “Be happy now” she said in the post she wanted us to read once she had gone, “because today is all you have”. “Be good to each other” because “life is too short to spend it hurting people and holding on to anger we have for those around us”.

As a mother, I cannot imagine her pain in having to leave her children behind. “My children will move mountains” she said today and I am quite sure they will.

I’ve only been reading Punk Rock Mommy for about a month(found via your link), but that last post there just knocked me sideways.

She was one in a million, and so are her family.

I’ve been reading Andrea’s blog for a while, and even wrote about her on mine – then found out she died yesterday. So sad. Her words were an inspiration.

I feel for her husband, family and friends. Their loss must be huge.

The world of blogging will miss her terribly.

I clicked through to her too from your site and I just went through again and read her last post and Kelly’s. So sorry – it’s very sad, and they’re so brave. x

‘Be happy now.’ Blogs fight this good fight, don’t they? Noticing things, trying to make some sense and some good out of it all. Keep going, FA.
