Holy shit. I have now taught three classes in a row including a 1-1 with a client who has MS. I have now rushed home to do the following in preparation for the Anna Valentine fashion show tonight:-
Make myself look half decent which involves:-
Removing about a ton of body hair
Working out how to make myself look less blue
Going out to buy new shampoo that I’m not allergic to, even though it’s too late because the shampoo I used yesterday has irritated my scalp and now I have A4 sheets of dandruff in my hair.
Applying a ton of make-up in a way that doesn’t look like I’m wearing a ton of make-up.
Going to buy shoes. Where? Too late?
Bag?
Belt?
Coat?
Something warm to wear on top of unbelievably expensive dress that I can’t damage – apron?
Reducing each leg by half a stone and strapping my knees so that they look small enough to wear a knee length dress over
and so on….
Somehow before all of that I have to rush up to school to watch my youngest child pretend to be Freddy Mercury wearing silver crushed velvet flares up to his armpits and an afro wig and my platform ankle boots which he will probably fall off.
Then I have about half an hour to get dressed, do hair and make-up and go and pick up another friend to get in to central London.
She and I are going to be introduced to a VIP! Very exciting – hopefully I’ll have some photos to show you tomorrow.
I have emailed my father and told him that now that I have become unbearably important I would like him to brush off his PPL and hire a private jet to come and pick me up on Sunday. I refuse to get to their house any other way.
Oh, yes, then there is the small issue of leaving food and water in the house for my various offspring who are dribbling back to my house at different times this afternoon.
Back tomorrow for full update.

Tons of make-up should do the trick. I went out last week and I know I looked completely knackered. The only thing to do was apply make-up as if for stage or TV. I thought I looked like an out-of-work drag queen but you wouldn’t believe the number of people who said I looked nice. Hmmm.
Hurry up with the update.

Very jealous, thinking of you at fancy gala (while I sit at my desk six time zones away). Hope it’s a smashing success!

Remember you’ll not always win. A few days, the most artistic individual is likely to taste defeat. There is, however,, usually, always the next day – soon after you have done your best to generate success today.
