BANANAGRAMS

BLOG, KIDS, REVIEWS

About two years ago, I was having coffee with a friend of mine. She is a very sorted woman who was about a year ahead of me in the “how to survive divorce” stakes. She made me believe that I would be OK. At the time she briefly mentioned that she and her father had invented a new game for children and that they were going ahead with a prototype and that they were hoping it would be successful because she needed to be able to support her children….

Two years down the line and she has one of the biggest sellers of children’s toys on the market. “Bananagrams” is now sold in every self-respecting toy shop, it has become a Nintendo game, they play it online and they have now developed some other similar games to expand their world domination. Their family story is amazing (so amazing that I can’t quite remember the details – something to do with her father being the son of a fruit vendor but I will divulge the details in due course when she has reminded me of them).

Because they are about to launch two new products I have decided to do my first ever competition. This is simply because I think she is amazing and deserves to be a huge success and because she has given me some of her original games to give away. If this works, I will get some of her new games and be able to do another competition soon with brand new, hot off the press games after the summer.

So. Here are the rules:-

1. You have to answer the two following questions:

a) What is a bunch of bananas really called?

b) True or False – Bananas grow on trees.

2. You have to add your name to my “followers” list so that I know who you are.

3. You have to leave your answers as a comment and I will put your details into the competition.

4. On Tuesday I will put all the correct answers into a hat and get one of my children to pick out 10 correct answers.

5. I will then contact you and then I will send you a free “Bananagram” game.

Simple.

OK as several of you have already pointed out – if I publish your comments you'll all see the answers….so perhaps this isn't going to be simple after all. For the moment then I will hold the comments in moderation so nobody can cheat!! Lx

Is it a hand of bananas? And yes banana plants look like trees, I got to know them while living in Honduras, although they are just really big plants (actually aren't all trees just really big plants?)
    Thanks!
