Well. The news we have all been waiting for has arrived. I (very cynically) predicted it would happen after a reasonable amount of time lapsed from the release of her single “We’ve Got To Fight For This Love” and her first solo album and whilst it’s extremely sad when any marriage breaks down, I think a lot of us were wondering why she was standing by him.
My teenage son (I suspect he’s not alone) thinks it’s the best news he’s heard for AGES. “It’s BRILLIANT” he said. “It means she’ll be going out to clubs as a single woman and I might bump into her. I CAN’T WAIT”.
SO. After her period of mourning, I wonder who she will end up with? I can’t actually think of one person on the planet who will match her beauty and fame at the moment – perhaps she needs to do a Princess Grace thing and move to Monaco.

Well, you know, back in the day John Lennon and every other English male was hoping to bump into Brigitte Bardot, preferably on a deserted island, and I dare say she was more stunning than Ms.Cole, but they got over her. It’s just a passing fancy. We all need someone to drool over, especially at the tender age of 17, before we move on to the next hot thing or meet someone really great.

‘match her international fame’: i just did a google search of her name in English and got 13 million pages. I did it on the french pages and got 285,000. She may be IT in the British Isles and a rising star in the US but I don’t think she’s quite on the level of Beyonce yet.
