The kids are coming back today HOORAY HOORAY. I am feeling like the worst sort of competitive divorced parent because they are not even going to get a chance to come home before heading off for holiday No.3. I am taking them to Cornwall with some other friends and because my ex had booked their flights home a day later than I had asked him to, I need to pick them up directly from the airport and whizz them off. It seemed to me more sensible than loading and unloading bags – just get them down there and sort it out then.
They will be completely jet-lagged for the entire week. Oh well, I’m sure they’ll cope.
I think, next summer my ex and I will need to have more of a shared plan in order to avoid this sort of thing….

before our div was final and we agreed to a parent plan, he would plan his vacations w/o kids, tell me it was my problem to get childcare during HIS visitation times….i was so furious. it’s starting to make me furious now, because he has caused me to be basically broke the entire time we were sep/div. i have spent so much money for court and the arse just got a cs reduction! my girls can’t even be arsed to call him anymore because he doesn’t call them often. i want to throttle the bastard now. oh crap, i better calm down LOL
anyways, before i moved out of state, we had a parenting plan in place…it said who had what days, things about holidays and vacations. the girls have to go back for thanksgiving and i’m sure they’re not excited about it.

Have a lovely holiday, Lulu – going straight to Cornwall sounds like a great idea rather than going home – and who can complain about 3 jet-lagged kids for a week? Think about it – PEACE!
