BLOG, KIDS, TRAVEL

We’re back from Cornwall. We all had a brilliant time and because my friends have such a huge, teenage friendly (boat, ping pong table, hot tub) house, it meant that I hardly saw my charges all week. The journey there was a nightmare and I narrowly missed spending the night on the M5 with 5 children. It took us 7 hours to get to Exeter. The first night there were 19 of us for dinner and it was lovely. It was a very good experience for my children to be in amongst a happy family with a million additional teenagers. My kids all commented on how laid back my friends were and how lovely it was to spend time in such a happy household.

The weather was atrocious, but it didn’t stop the kids from swimming in the sea with the resident seal. Slightly worrying to hear that a Great White shark and her mate were following shortly behind.

Today I completed on a house. It all went quite smoothly and I’m amazed that buying a house has been much easier than I’d originally thought. I’m delighted to say that I bought it privately, depriving the estate agents of their commission. I’ve bought something that requires a huge amount of work, but it will be lovely one day. At least my children are happy about feeling more settled. I’m going to spend the next month doing it up a bit before we move out of rented accommodation.

Hi Lulu, tried replying to your comments and was sent my messages back! Probably because I didn’t reply to an email address.
Your blog about vaginas – xxx made me laugh so much.
Thanks for your comments and the encouragement. It’s great to know we’re all out there in the ether, communicating.

Glad it made you laugh…don’t understand why comments don’t seem to be working much on my blog – several people have said it’s been a problem – must be doing something wrong in settings but don’t know what – any ideas?
