DYSFUNCTIONAL IS THE NEW FUNCTIONAL

BLOG, DIVORCE

Had another lovely Sunday evening with the children and their cousins – 8 of us in total (9 today including daughter’s friend). This has become a bit of a routine now for me and my ex-sister-in-law (who’s husband, my ex’s brother did the exact same thing to her a year before). We alternate houses and share the food. It’s great. The kids all get on really well and when we’re all sitting around the table together they really talk. I love it. It’s completely relaxed and you get to learn a lot about what they are thinking and what is going on in their lives.

You see? I told you – dysfunctional is the new functional. It really, really works.

I bet their mother (if she’s still around) is proud of them both!

Sounds like a home from home. Glad things are working out for the two families…. great!

I just read about the “hair-bald” idea – the 7-year-old might be on to something!

It’s so lovely when everyone can get on like that – and great for the children. I had lots of friends-with-family that we did this with when mine were younger. It feels like family even if it isn’t and we had some great Christmases, Birthdays etc. M xx
