This is HUGE news in our house. Daughter completely traumatised……JOSIE has escaped!
I didn’t watch Big Brother this time. Enough already. BUT we started watching the Celebrity version and I immediately liked Josie who won the last Big Brother. Very down to earth and frankly I think she’s done exactly the right thing by walking out now to be with her new love interest John James. She has said she’s giving a quarter of her prize money to charity, paying for a new pair of legs for one of the housemates and giving some money to all the other finalists – it is frankly very reassuring to see that a normal girl, who speaks her mind, with no hidden agenda and a direct happy approach to life is still a winning combination.
I bet, inadvertently by walking out of the freak show because she’s “not a celebrity” will be even better for her new career.
Whilst on an entertainment note, my son is gutted to be missing the Reading Festival this year (he’s on a rugby tour, which he can’t play on because he’s still injured but which the school insisted he go on anyway!).
Last year, what made me laugh was a list a friend’s son had left out which went something like this:-

Sleeping bag
Torch
Boots
Waterproofs
Bla
Bla
But his Grandmother saw it and told his mother that she was VERY impressed that he was “taking his reading books through the summer quite so seriously”.
