Stressy morning as ever, getting children and myself up and out of the door in items of clothing that are clean, not inside out or back to front. After last week’s embarrassing exercise class wearing the wrong way round trousers I am paying more attention as I leave the building.
Just as we left this morning my 11 year old said – “mum, I need help with my soul – it’s broken, can you fix it” and I was thinking “OMG are you serious? WHAT BEFORE SCHOOL! This is going to take much time to mend. We have to talk about it” and then he handed me his um, sole….thank goodness for that:-

Isn’t it amazing that just when you think life might get a little less chaotic (one child not at home) – it seems to rev up a little?

Funny! That made me smile. I know why you thought he meant ‘soul’. Kids always start those kinds of conversations when you’re in a mad rush. It’s like the ‘What IS a condom?’ question that is always asked in the middle of the dentists surgery and never at home.

ha ha – yes they always pick the best loudest spot to ask the awkward questions – once my son started copying the way a disabled woman walked in a dentist waiting room……horrendous. Lx
