BASTILLE DAY

We are having a lovely few days in France – I’m with two girlfriends and some of our children. It’s all very peaceful – only the sound of crickets and splashy water can be heard in amongst the sounds of the three of us shouting at our children to stop drowning each other or arguing or the boys getting together to shoot bb guns into the undergrowth and let off fire crackers and all manner of noisy blowy uppy things.

It’s hot. Just gorgeous. We went to watch Bastille Day fireworks yesterday – July the 14th celebrations meant a very buzzy atmosphere everywhere:-
