My daughter went to a party this weekend with the theme of “What You Wanted To Be When You Were Young”.
What??
She IS young.
This is very depressing to me. I think people my age should go to those sort of parties. Not 17 year olds. In fact, I’m going to have one of those parties and we can all come as people who are now nearly redundant, like air hostesses and tea ladies and secretaries and telephone operators…..
She went as a “WAG”. Which is marginally even more depressing. I remember her telling her father that she wanted to be a WAG when she grew up – aged about 7. This is not something that any child should aspire to. Surely?
Anyway, here she is at her party looking spectacularly gorgeous in her Chelsea top and false eyelashes.
Again. Not fair.
Oh and ps whilst my daughter was doing that my son was meeting a man who I would be very happy to be a WAG to….David Beckham:-

Now I know what you looked like when you were 17. David Beckham looks like a mannequin next to those two young guys.
