Rural french village life has finally entered our urban bloodstream, injecting us all with a large dose of fresh air and time which has rendered us all virtually comatose. All we have done today is eat crepes and discussed excursions that we are not going to do because we can’t be arsed. It’s great.
We’re heading back tomorrow. I’ve got a ridiculously busy week to face, so our moment of calm is nearly over. Still, it’s been lovely to actually spend some time with the children and parents – secretly I think they’ve quite enjoyed being bundled out of London for a bit, even if it does mean having to talk to adults and sing “Scouting For Girls” songs very loudly on all our car journey’s.
Normal speed coverage should resume tomorrow.

Just don’t get sucked into to the urban speedlane right away! Make the feeling last!

Glad you had a good break, and yes, it will be like being shot out of a canon when you get back. I’m already back on the treadmill – and not the exercise one either.

It’s the air here in Brittany. I’m still comatose after 7 months here. Delicious. The kids have visited; gone home; getting on with their own lives; so long as they’re ok, all is ok.
