ALSO – maybe you could do what my friend’s daughter (aged 10) has just done and encourage their school to organise a mufti day or a cake sale or something of that nature to raise some more funds.

Excellent initiave. I hope this natural disaster draws attention to the longer term issues. Haiti is one of the poorest places on earth that is plagued by corruption and crime. It never ceases to amaze me how many similarly sorry places are right on America’s doorstep. Haiti needs humanitarian help now, but thereafter, an honest regime that rules for all.
