At the request of Dumdad, who will no doubt be missing the snow in the UK owing to residing in France, here are two pictures I took earlier today of our first snow day. My daughter has already arranged to meet all her friends in the park tomorrow morning – which I think might be a little bit too hopeful. Not quite enough of it yet to bring the country to a total standstill:-

But doesn’t it look lovely… there’s a large part of me hoping that it does stay for Christmas (even though it’ll make the whole travelling around thing tough)

Lovely, we had some here too today. I don’t know where you are in the country but the South East is due to have lots on Friday. Wouldn’t it be better if it came a week later?

It will snow properly on Friday. I know this with such certainty because I have the day off work on Friday and will therefore not benefit from any stay-at-home snow day….!

I am listening to Jeremy Vine on the radio, (yes I know!) but they are talking about Sir Liam Donaldson’s recommendation that we shouldn’t let our children drink any alcohol. Hmm?
Will I expect a visit from Social Services?
