This is a very good idea.
The ‘ICE’ (In Case of Emergency) Campaign is a method that the emergency services can use to know who to contact.
All you need to do is store the number of the person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name ‘ICE’ (In Case Of Emergency). In an emergency situation, emergency service personnel and hospital staff would quickly be able to contact the right person by simply dialing the number(s) you have stored as ‘ICE’.

I’ve often thought of doing this – but how do they know your password?

I’ve had ICE in my mobile for several years now.
I think it’s a very good idea.

God. Now I’m feeling completely rubbish – I’m so 5 years ago…anyway, can anybody tell me how to avoid your ICE numbers coming up when a call comes in? This morning at 7.30 when my boyfriend called it came in as “ICE” and I panicked and thought there must be an emergency and shouted “Yes, what?” … when obviously there wasn’t one.
And no idea how they get through the password – I don’t put one in and I now ‘M’ – MDMA I really have never heard of it!

Husband and I both did this a few years ago when I heard it on the radio. There should be a more high profile campaign – it’s such a good idea.
