During Arts Week at my 9 year old’s school they spent a lot of time looking at the 1970’s as I’ve previously mentioned. In addition to the fashion show and tie-dye T-shirts they had to draw 12″ vinyl album covers.
My son came home with his artwork today. He is very proud of it. It’s all psychedelic colours with the name of his band scrawled across the top in bold black capitals. I asked him to explain why he had chosen that name. “Well, apparently there was a really famous band called “Super Tramp” so I just changed the name slightly”.
“Super Dump” was the name of his band.

lol…..indeed!?
talking about album covers…l kept trying to recall the artist that to me resonated through the design of avatar….and it was Roger Deans, floating islands and imagination…it so reminded me of his covers artwork…and the film, also reminded me of terminator, lion king, pocahontas..so thin on plot, so slow but beautiful…..three hours l can never get back gone…by the end l was in fits of giggles…
so thanks, this post reminded me what l had forgotten…
